I am all about neons for this summer. They can really make an outfit pop and make you feel special. I have put together a list of some things that I am craving, or have bought in the past couple of weeks. I love each and every one of these things. If you are afraid of doing a big neon statement then you can opt for the neon belt, or bracelet, or sandals. Any way you do neon is fine by me!

Chic in the City

My Mondays are normally very relaxed, we do errands in the morning and then my girlfriend comes over for dinner and girl talk. This Monday however was none of that. I hung out with a girlfriend I hadn't seen in a while, dropped her off back in the city, and then I saw a girlfriend from Washington state who I hadn't seen since my wedding. We met in Soho and caught some lunch in little Italy. It was so nice to see her and catch up.

Blush and Ruffles

The weather this weekend was unpredictable, it was sunny, then cloudy, then raining. So with that in mind I decided on this 3/4 sleeve sweater top and some skinny jeans paired with sky high heels. I love the way that ruffles can make an ordinary outfit feel so girly. I did a wrap around braid, which I felt added a little something extra to the ordinary side braid. We went shopping, got some frozen yogurt, and went to the park.

Foodie Fridays: Coconut Raspberry Cookies

 Have I declared my love for raspberries? I really do love them, and any dessert that has them will end up in my mouth! I got a cookbook a couple years ago and there were all these recipes that I wanted to try, and never did. Today I decided that I would see what I had lying around and make something from it. These cookies took 15 minutes and are delicious. They have a hint of lemon which makes them unlike anything I have had before. They are chewy and soft and will be my new treat when company comes over.

My IKEA find

 Yesterday I went to IKEA on the search to find a shoe display of some sort. Well I found the shoe display, and so much more, but my favorite buy would have to be my new TV stand. I have loathed our TV stand for about a year now, when I switched all our furniture to white. I have been on the lookout for a white TV stand that would hold our 46 inch Samsung TV, and had no luck for the past year. While browsing the showroom with my daughter we came upon this beautiful TV stand which holds a TV up to 55 inches, and the best part was it was only $129! So I bought it and it has totally changed the vibe of my living room! I LOVE it, it didn't take long to put together, the most tedious part was mounting my TV. I plan on getting a tall, maybe 4 foot vase, on the right side of the Tv with some glitter branches. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.

Shoe Display

 

Right now my shoes are all around my town home, upstairs, downstairs, in my closet, in Alexis' room, in the living room. I have made the decision to tackle this problem head on. I have done a little research and these 3 are my inspirations for my shoe display. Now I do not plan on doing anything quite as extravagant since we will be moving soon, but once we move you can bet that I will be doing the first one in my closet. I have an idea in my mind, and I am off to the store to see what I can pick up and put together.

Neon Pink

So to stay true to my neon colors, I saw this top and new I had to have it! I love the open back and how the color pops! I am still not sure exactly what under garment to pair it with, a bra, bikini top, or bandeau, but I figured why not rock the hot pink bra with the neon pink tank top. I wore some abercrombie jeans and these cute flower sandals.
