Foodie Fridays

 

      I gained so much weight while my husband was home the past two weeks. We ate everything and anything. There was one day I think we had 5 meals!  Well when he left I went on a healthy kick! The first thing on the menu was this tomato mozzarella stack. I used this recipe and instantly fell in love. It was everything you could want! The basil pureed into the oil and vinegar drizzle was perfection. Ahh I can taste it now.....

Fresh Florals

           There are only a few things that make me as happy as fresh white roses. I like to put 18 roses next to my couch as well as another 18 on my dining room table. They are so clean and full of life. They instantly update the room and make it feel more like home, not to mention the amazing smell they give off. I go just about every week to Whole Foods and one of my first stops there is the flower department. I have found them to have the best roses that last the longest.
           I'm heading out to Sephora at some point today. They are having an event in their stores that I just must take a peak at. I also have a couple things that I have been eying, so don't be surprised when I come back with a bunch of things in my bag.

Getting Started

       I recently voiced to my husband that I wanted to start a blog when we moved to Florida about DIYing and makeup, stuff I really knew about. However, he left back for Afghanistan on Monday, which left me completely helpless and sad. He suggested that I start my blog now instead. I told him it would just consist of me complaining about how much I missed him. However, the more I thought about it, the more I decided that he was right, this was the perfect time. Too bad I didn't take pictures of all the DIY projects I have already done. So for now I will just give some details on myself.
      I am a girl who loves having fresh flowers in her house every week. I LOVE makeup, Sephora is one of my favorite stores! I am 23 and a mom to a beautiful 3 1/2 year old little girl. I love white houses with pops of Aqua here and there. I love anything that sparkles. I love food, sweets especially.
